As the 2025-2026 school year begins, I am honored to serve as President of the Eta Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
This year, our focus is on strengthening our foundation, advancing our academic excellence, and deepening our impact on the Western Illinois University campus and surrounding community.
Our goals for this fraternal year center on financial stability, chapter growth, and consistent campus engagement. We aim to leave the chapter in a strong financial position, maintain a culture of scholarship, and continue creating spaces where our presence is both visible and meaningful.
We started the year with Freshman Seminar 101, where we engaged new students on the importance of retention, campus involvement, and academic success. This event provided an opportunity to connect with incoming students and offer guidance for navigating college life.
Looking ahead, we will continue to emphasize weekly library hours as a standard for all members, reinforcing that academics are the cornerstone of leadership and brotherhood.
This fall, Apollo will make its return during Alpha Week, which coincides with Homecoming Week. Under the theme “HH Yard Lock-In Twitch Subathon,” Alpha Week will feature events tied to two of our national programs — Project Alpha and Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College — along with fundraisers, educational events, and collaborative campus initiatives.
As the Eta Eta Chapter continues to grow, we remain committed to leadership, service, and academic excellence. This year is about building momentum, strengthening our legacy, and ensuring that our chapter continues to embody the true standard of Alpha men.
Fraternally,
Bro. Elijah Adams
President, Eta Eta Chapter
